Home Access Center

The Home Access Center enables parents and families to view their student’s current year information from the Internet. For elementary students this includes registration information, attendance, report cards, discipline history, and test scores. For secondary students this includes all of the above in addition to class schedules, interim progress reports, transcripts, and class assignments.

Ed Smith PTO to Host Welcome Back to School Ice Cream Social

The Annual Ed Smith Ice Cream Social will be this coming Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM in the cafetorium.  The event is hosted by the PTO and open to parents, families, students, teachers and administrators. It is a great time to meet new friends and catch up with old ones.

No Child Left Behind Update

Fowler Student Named Engineering Pipeline Scholar

Abrar Atiya Aljiboury, a Fowler High School student, is among 20 scholars from Syracuse-area schools who participated in the competitive “Engineering Pipeline Program” at National Grid, the centerpiece of the company’s global “Engineering Our Future” initiative designed to inspire youth and attract and develop engineers for tomorrow’s workforce. Only 50 students across National Grid’s U.S.

A recent article by Scott Waldman of the Times Union called into question just how difficult the New York State Regents exams are.


He states these exams may be the easiest exams students take all year. Like the grades 3-8 ELA and math exams the regents exam redesign is a part of New York States reform initiative.

Transportation Information Letters Mailed Home August 30th

The Transportation Department will be mailing home the transportation information letters to all families beginning Monday, August 30, 2010. These letters will have your students designated bus stop, route and pick up and drop off times.   

Building Men UTC Summer Program Wraps Up

The Syracuse City School District’s Building Men program piloted a summer program entitled Building Foundations at Levy School.  Building Foundations was incorporated into the Urban Teacher Calendar (UTC) at Levy for the summer.
