Fowler Graduate and Up and Coming Jazz Star Returns to Syracuse

1999 Fowler High School graduate Jackiem Joyner returned to Syracuse and took part in the Jazz in the City series. Jackiem first made a cameo appearance to open the Jazz in the City series and then came back for a full show on his own the following week.

The New York State Theatre Education Association (NYSTEA) has named Carol Terry, Syracuse City School District Fine Arts Coordinator, as its 2010 Administrator of the Year. Ms. Terry was nominated for this prestigious award by two theatre arts teachers and a parent from the school district.

Dr. Weeks Students Unveil Photography Display at ArtRage

Students from Dr. Weeks school visited the ArtRage Gallery for the unveiling of the new “Celebrate Community, Honor Diversity” photo display.   The students also presented those in attendance with a multicultural performance.

Henninger Students Unveil Mural at Hancock International Airport (Video)

The Henninger High School 2D Advanced Art class unveiled their mural today at Syracuse’s Hancock International Airport. Commissioner of Aviation Rory McMahon hosted the students for the unveiling at the airport to celebrate the student’s work.
The mural is a combination of panels created by all of the students from Ms.
