Public School Choice and Supplemental Education Services

The United States Department of Education has approved New York States ESEA waiver request for the 2012-13 school year. This request provides Districts with increased flexibility to implement more effective programs and initiatives to support students and families. Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, the Syracuse City School District will no longer offer Supplemental Educational Services (SES). The school district will support enhanced implementation of the NYS Regents’ Reform Agenda (RRA) in Priority and Focus schools, expanded learning time opportunities for students and increased parental involvement and engagement in our low-performing schools. Below is the school choice and SES data from 09-10, 10-11 and 11-12 school years.
