First Responder Skills Test

The 4 classes in the First Responder Academy (EMT, Fire-Rescue, Law Enforcement, Forensic Science) teamed up to put forth a scenario to test the students' skills.  The car was generously given to the academy from the Auto Tech class at ITC.

Students running through these scenarios are dispatched to a call, need to request mutual aid help if it is required, help tend patients, discover the story behind the car accident, process any evidence present and stabilize any emergency situations that may arise (patient injuries, vehicle fires, suspects armed and volatile...) The students are taking turns acting as the First Responder, or as a role player for the scenario.

The students are evaluated on their actions during the emergency situation, attention to details and scene safety, and their written reports after the scene is completed. This is the capstone project for the First Responder Academy this year
