Mrs. McCann's 5th grade class wanted to give back on Martin Luther King Jr Day, a day of service. They decided they would collect scarves and hang them around downtown for those who were cold or needed one. The 5th grade students wrote notes on the scarves saying "I am not lost, take me its cold outside." Students hung up more than 55 scarves around Armory Square, Columbus Circle, the bus hub, Destiny and Franklin Square. We are very proud of our Van Duyn Scholars.
