District Opens Centralized Registration Center
The Syracuse City School District has opened a Centralized Registration Center to streamline the student registration process and make the system easier for parents and families to navigate. The center, located at 1728 South Avenue in the former Elmwood Elementary School, is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The SCSD Centralized Registration Center is a single point of entry for new families who need to enroll their children in the school district. The center also handles all change of address requests and student placements.
The CRC has representatives from the ESL/ELL office, special education office, health office and parent partnership network on hand to assist families during the registration process. They provide support to families, assist with student testing and verify all registration documentation. The staff can also request records as necessary.
The Centralized Registration Center allows for a shorter turn-around time for families registering and an easier transition into the school district. It also offers increased support to families as they prepare to enter the SCSD.
Individual school buildings no longer handle registration. Call the registration center at 435-4545 with questions.
