SCSD Senior Spotlight

Ben Franklin, J.K. Rowling, Bill Gates and Anna Wintour are among their heroes. They dream of being engineers, nurse practitioners and writers. Some hope to travel the world, others want to help inner city youth and one wants to work in robotics. They all have plenty of advice for underclassmen.

Meet our 2012 Senior Spotlight winners. When we asked the principals in the high schools of the Syracuse City School District to choose just five of their students who had done well in the areas of academics, athletics, the arts or community service, it wasn’t easy for them. Those who were chosen are students who have consistently and clearly demonstrated that they are an asset to the Syracuse City School District community.

Each of the 25 students was asked to fill out the same questionnaire and while some of the answers were the same (lots of people like macaroni and cheese) many of them were also very different.
