DEAR PARENTS & GUARDIANS,We are excited to announce that the district has decided to make some changes regarding Oasis and PFLA for next school year. We will be re-imagining the structure of the programs.Oasis will no longer be located at Elmwood and will have a new name. Each grade level will be moving into a school building where they will continue to have their small class and programming. In the elementary level the program is called LEAP and the middle school level the program is called QUEST.The PFLA program housed at the Johnson Center will be discontinued at the end of this school year and we are happy to have your child back in their home high school. NEW ELEMENTARY PROGRAM OPTIONIndividualized learning plans and goal setting, social skills development. New Elementary School level program option that provides a smaller class size of 12 students or less with a teacher and teaching assistant with a project-based learning instructional approach. There will continue to be a social emotional learning component to strengthen skills needed to be part of a regular size class. New Middle School level program option provides a smaller class size of 12 students or less with a teacher and teaching assistant with a project-based learning instructional approach. NEW HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM OPTIONProgram will be held in each high school and students will attend from 1 pm to 5 pm. New High School level program option that will be housed in the student’s home high school. This program will offer a smaller class size, plus a staggered arrival and dismissal time that will also allow students to focus on fewer classes at a time.
