Welcome to the Refugee Assistance Program! Program Location #1 for Adult Education's ESL Program

The Refugee Assistance Program (RAP), also known as "Bob's School," welcomes refugees, immigrants, and native-born individuals who want to learn English, navigate the community, communicate with their children's schools, become active community members, and find employment. Students must be 21 or older to participate.

Established in 1978 to assist the growing refugee population in Syracuse, RAP offers personalized services tailored to each individual's background, education, work experience, and culture. The program's dedicated staff helps refugees adjust to their new lives, providing support in language acquisition, community integration, education, and employment, ultimately empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency and contribute to their new community.

We offer part-time morning, afternoon, and evening classes. Distance learning classes are coming soon! This school is one of two ESL schools for adults.
