Student Engagement

With the aim to gather feedback from students on the school menu, the FNS hosts a series of taste tests each year, right in SCSD cafeterias. This process allows us to:

• Try new menu items,
• Feature farm-to-school items,
• Provide nutrition education with a focus on NY products,
• Invite students to vote on new menu items,
• Test recipes in our food service operation to make improvements, and
• Listen to students about what they'd like to see.
