Application and Acceptance Process

  • Parents/guardians who complete and submit an application, along with all required documentation, by March 31 are eligible to have their child included in the lottery process. Some schools may require referral, assessment, or interviews as part of the application process. See school descriptions for details.

New Students or Returning to SCSD

  • If your child is new to the District or returning, you MUST also submit an online registration for the 2026-27 school year. This is in addition to your Montessori, Seymour Dual Language Program, ELMS, or Syracuse Latin application.

Lottery Process

  • If there are more students deemed eligible to enroll in the program than there are seats available, the District will conduct a lottery using our electronic lottery system. This helps to ensure a fair and equitable placement process. Priority is given to students who have siblings currently enrolled in the Program. If a student is entered into the lottery, but not selected, they will be automatically assigned a waitlist number through the RightPath Enroll Online Lottery system.

Notification Process

  • Parents/guardians will receive a letter confirming their child’s acceptance status.

Additional Information

  • Submission of an application does not guarantee enrollment.
