We're here to help you achieve your academic and career goals, no matter where you are on your journey. Whether you're seeking your high school diploma, improving your English language skills, exploring career options, or looking for flexible learning options, we have a program for you.

Our Programs:

  • Adult Basic Education (ABE): Strengthen your foundational skills in reading, writing, and math to prepare for further education or career opportunities.
  • English as a Second Language (ESL): Improve your English language skills to communicate effectively in your daily life, workplace, and community.
  • High School Equivalency (HSE): Earn your high school diploma and open doors to college, training programs, and better jobs.
  • National External Diploma Program (NEDP): The NEDP is a online module-based program that is an alternative to taking the GED exam.
  • Career and Technical Education (CTE): Gain hands-on training and skills in high-demand fields to launch a fulfilling career.
  • Distance Education: Learn at your own pace and on your own schedule with our online learning options.

  • The programs in our Adult Education program are designed to assist you in the development of your skills and knowledge for today’s workplace.

    The HSE Program is available on a full or part time basis to accommodate your busy schedule.

    We also offer the HSE program in satellite sites around the city if traveling downtown is not convenient.

    If you need to study at home, we offer HSE Distance Learning Home Study Programs.

    Whatever your circumstances may be, we will work with you to achieve your goals.

  • Need help connecting to local resources? The Syracuse City School District has four Literacy Zones where we serve adults and their families as they pursue education, career and family goals. Our case managers can assist in setting up a personal plan for you to achieve your goals.
