Facilities and Operations

In 2016, New York State adopted new regulations that required public school districts to test drinking water sources in their buildings. Prior to this requirement, the Syracuse City School District, with the assistance of the City of Syracuse Water Department, had tested some water sources for lead, but the new regulations had different requirements.

In 2020, the District completed a second round of district-wide sampling; and a third round in 2024. Testing results for each building are shown below. Please contact the District’s Facilities Department with any questions at 435-4292.
