Dear Families:

Each year the New York State Education Department (NYSED) reviews information about the performance of each public school and assigns it an accountability status.  This letter is to inform you that Franklin Elementary has been designated an accountability status of Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) for the 2023-24 school year.
As a result of our TSI status, we will increase support to improve student performance at our school.  This school year we will use several school improvement initiatives. Among these initiatives are a comprehensive needs assessment and a school improvement plan. I believe that these and other actions by our school and the district will set our school and students up for success.
I welcome any feedback you have about ways in which we can better support your student. Please also feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have about our school’s TSI status or our school improvement efforts.
