They are honest, transparent, reflective, giving, devoted, flexible, concerned, motivated, thoughtful, and loving. They want the best for our students. Mr. Davis and I are grateful to be able to serve our students, families, and community alongside the MAGNIFICENT staff at STEAM at Dr. King! Go Cougars!"

"I am always overwhelmed and appreciative of the amount of time and energy the teachers and support staff at ELMS put into making sure all students and families at ELMS are successful!  Thank you for working so hard to support our students at all levels. Your expertise in providing supportive and rigorous instruction for our students throughout the year and especially during these unprecedented times is greatly appreciated. Three ELMS Claps for ALL!"
Kevin Burns, Principal

"I am lucky enough to work with an incredibly talented, caring and compassionate staff. I’m currently in my third year as a principal and my third year at Grant. In my first year I was astonished by the talent on staff, but since then, it has only grown. They have always demonstrated a desire to push me and one another, keeping scholars’ best interests in mind. Although we haven’t been in school for seven weeks, there has never been a time in the history of education where teachers shouldn’t be appreciated more than now. The work, commitment, compassion, consideration, care that the staff of GMS has demonstrated for not only our scholars, but also their families and the greater Syracuse community has been nothing short of astounding. From the absolute bottom of my heart,  I can’t thank them enough for choosing to be educators to the scholars of the SCSD. The staff of GMS makes my job not only easier, but also a pleasure."
Bruno Primerano, Principal
Grant Middle School
“I have been so impressed by our teachers during this COVID-19 crisis.  They have responded to new learning platforms and work expectations, and have done so while always putting the needs of our students and their families first.  I am so proud of the Black Knight instructional staff—All In, All One, All Black Knights!”

Dr. Matt Williams, Principal
Henninger High School

"To the very appreciated Huntington teachers (and staff!):  right now we can’t have a cake, or a staff lounge stocked full of snacks, or hand out little tokens, or even have our monthly staff breakfast. And if we could, we’d hand out Tootles and Panther Paws to each of you! For now though, please know that every one of you are irreplaceable and that you are missed and loved by your students every day. The work you are doing is superhuman and you also are ‘heroes on the frontline.' Thank you for all you are doing for our Huntington families."
Joanne M. Harlow, Principal, and the Administrative Team
Huntington PK-8 School
"Teachers, I can’t begin to thank you for all of the extra work you have been putting into reaching out to our students for both academic and wellness checks, creating engaging lessons and ensuring out students at ITC are continuing learning during the closure of schools. Your support and dedication, no matter what time of day or night it is, is greatly appreciated. I am honored to work alongside of you. Thank you and I miss seeing you on a daily basis."
Donna Formica, Principal
Institute of Technology at Syracuse Central
"Teachers at LeMoyne/Montessori get all the credit in the world.  They have done so much to personalize learning at our school that we received the highest NYS rating for student progress.  They truly get to know and understand what the students need to be successful, they connect with families, collaborate with colleagues and take pride in their work.  Supporting the staff in this school has been so rewarding and it fills me with pride so say that I work here!"
Jason Armstrong, Principal
Lemoyne Elementary School and Montessori at LeMoyne
"Team Lincoln... I applaud your commitment and dedication to our students and their families. We have learned together and we are better for it. You all have not skipped a beat even when your work day has almost doubled. You are taking care of our school family while juggling your own. You are 'essential' in so many ways and you are loved and appreciated for all you do!"
LaJuan White, Principal
Lincoln Middle School
"I would like to thank our teachers at Promising Futures Leadership Academy and all of the teachers across the school district - especially during the time of Remote Instruction - for stepping up and supporting our kids and families. We work with some amazing people who have been innovative and have created excellent videos and group chats on Zoom and other platforms. I am very proud to work with so many wonderful educators!"
Margaret E. M. Taru, Principal
