SCSD Board of Education to Host Public Budget Hearings & Work Sessions

The Syracuse City School District Board of Education will offer several opportunities for students, staff, families and community members to gain insight and share their thoughts throughout the month of March.

The two monthly Work Sessions will be held on Wednesday, March 22 and Monday, March 27 - both at 4:30 pm at the Syracuse City School District Board Room (725 Harrison Street).

Prior to the start of the Work Sessions, the Board of Education will hold two Public Budget Hearings on March 22 and March 27. These hearings will begin at 4:30 pm and the Work Sessions will immediately follow. A Special Board Meeting will follow the Budget Hearing on March 27th, with the planned Work Session to follow immediately after.

The public is invited to attend. Those who wish to address the Board of Education regarding the budget should make this known to the District Clerk to the Board of Education before the meeting begins by filling out the appropriate card, available near the entrance door to the Board Room. Speakers are asked to limit their comments to no more than three minutes. The only permitted topic is the proposed budget.

Information regarding the proposed budget can be found on the SCSD website's Budget page.
