SCSD Safety Plan Now Open for Public Comments

The SCSD Department of Public Safety has continued its mission of continuously reassessing our District safety and security measures and striving to enhance the learning environment for all stakeholders.

Our objectives include providing a safe and supporting environment for all, to leverage cost effective safety solutions and technology, while treating all persons with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. As a department of public safety, they are committed to working closely with our community, support organizations, local law enforcement and public safety agencies, to solicit input to provide us with direction and transparency.

The Department of Public Safety has released the proposed 2023-24 District Safety Plan for public comment. The plan consists of three active components, which receive annual updates:

1.The District Code of Conduct, Character and Support
2. The District wide Emergency Response Plan
3.The District Safety Action Plan

The three documents - as well as supporting materials - are available here.

All members of the SCSD community are invited to review these documents and provide your comments.
