Dear Parents/Guardians,
On behalf of the staff at PSLA at Fowler High School, I am excited to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure that your child can achieve his/her greatest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.
Because you are your child’s greatest advocate and teacher, we ask that you continue to guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

  1. Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
  2. Completes all homework assignments given by teachers
  3. Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
  4. Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
  5. Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

I look forward to leading the PSLA @ Fowler High School community and partnering with you in your child’s education. This year I am joined by Mr. Antonio Herrera (Homeland Security Academy Administrator), Mr. Victor Ciciarelli (Entrepreneurship Academy Administrator), and Daniel Killenbec (Administrative Intern who will assist with First Responder Academy).
Classes begin at 7:50 am each morning.  Students may enter at 7:25 am each morning so that students have time to take part in our free breakfast program; there will be paperwork sent home that will require some basic information and your signature for this program.  September 6, 2018 is the first day of school for students.  Please view our school web page, PSLA at Fowler High School Facebook account, Twitter, Newsletters, and other forms of communication to stay informed about the wonderful academic, informative, and celebratory events happening at PSLA @ Fowler High School.    If you have questions, concerns or simply wish to introduce yourself to me directly, please feel free to contact me at school.
If you do not have e-school access, please call to set up a time when you may come in to sit down with us to go over how to email staff and view your child’s on-going grades, attendance, etc.  Please also view us on Twitter (@PrinCpalTaru) and Facebook.
Thank you in advance for your support as we continue to work in the best interest of all children.
Margaret E. (McRobbie) Taru
