On behalf of the Syracuse City School District, I would like to welcome you to the Department of ENL, World Languages and Bilingual Education. The department includes unique programs for English as a New Language, world language, and bilingual education across the Syracuse City School District. 

English as a New Language (ENL) programs are in 26 schools in the district, providing both integrated and stand-alone language development support to English Language Learners of all proficiency levels. 

World language classes in Syracuse City School District are offered in Arabic, French, Spanish and American Sign Language. There are world language programs in 17 schools within the district, including programs in grades K-12. 

There are currently two bilingual education programs in Syracuse City School District. The programs, housed at Seymour Dual Language Academy and Delaware Primary School, are dual language programs using a 50/50 model in Spanish and English.
