Henninger High School to Switch to Remote Learning for the Week

We have received confirmation from the Onondaga County Health Department that we have had a student at Henninger HS, two additional staff members and a student from Salem Hyde and a bus attendant all test positive for COVID-19.  The bus attendant’s routes included STEM at Blodgett and Webster Elementary School.

As a result, Henninger will be having remote instruction for the next week.  There will be no in-person instruction for any students and staff for one week at Henninger.  Salem Hyde will continue with remote instruction this week as well.

The County Health Department through their contact tracing will be in touch with those, both staff members and students who they believe may have been exposed to the individual who tested positive for COVID-19.

Anyone else testing positive will be isolating at home for the mandated period of time and will not return to work until they are cleared to by the County Health Department.

All of our schools have been cleaned, sanitized, sprayed and disinfected this weekend including utilizing our electrostatic sprayers.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely, both in our schools and throughout the County.  We will keep you updated if new information becomes available.  Please remember to wear your mask, stay socially distanced and to wash your hands.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we continue working through this.
