The Syracuse City School District will hold a Public Hearing on October 5th regarding the Syracuse Academy of Science and Citizenship Charter School. The school is seeking a “Renewal with Revisions” to change the school name, expand the grades served within the school, and expand student enrollment from 525 students to 900 students by the 2027 school year. The Academy welcomes any comments Syracuse City School District residents wish to provide.

The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 5th from 5 - 6 pm in the Central Office Board Room (725 Harrison Street). Media are welcome to attend. Face masks are required for entry to all District buildings, including Central Offices, and must be properly worn while in the buildings, regardless of vaccination status.

If a resident is unable to attend the hearing but would like to share feedback, they may email CharterSchools@scsd.us.
