Creative Expression and Design Program

The Career Field:
Designers work in a variety of industries such as fashion, graphics, architecture, computer, industrial, and communications. This program teaches students the essential skills needed to begin a career in design. The Creative Expression and Design program has a unique partnership with the Syracuse University School of Design.
Overall employment for careers in design are projected to grow 23 percent from 2021 to 2031, much faster than the average for all occupations.
The Program:
Students in this program will work with professionals from the Syracuse University School of Design on projects and skill building beginning in 9th grade! Students will use state of the art equipment with industry standard software to design, build and present project prototypes and design ideas. Internships opportunities will be offered to provide invaluable experience in a real-world setting. Design students will be given the opportunity to present their senior portfolios to members of the Syracuse University School of Design.
