Syracuse Community Summit Rescheduled for Saturday, October 25th

The Syracuse Community Summit, Keeping Kids in School has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 25th, 2014.  The Summit will take place at Fowler HS (725 Magnolia St.) from 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM.  Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 AM.

Student, parents, teachers, administrators and community leaders are invited to attend the Summit.  Topics of discussion will include: the importance of implementing discipline practices that keep kids in school while changing undesired behaviors as well the district’s new Code of Conduct, Character and Support. Sessions will include: Setting the Stage: Unintended Consequences of School-Discipline Practices; Cultural Competency; Restorative Practices; and Collaborative Models for School Arrest Diversion.
