Students from Fowler/PSLA, enrolled in Geospatial Intelligence, Physics and Engineering courses, were given the opportunity to visit the SUNY Oswego college campus this week.  Highlights of the campus visit included tours of the 3D manufacturing facilities, technology labs, the robotics lab and Campus Center.  Students were also able to talk with admissions counselors, experience lunch in Cooper Dining Hall, and tour a typical college dormitory.
The visit was capped off with an impressive, private Planetarium showing in the new Shineman Center for Science, Engineering and Innovation.  The Planetarium provides a unique experience, using a 180-degree dome view and state-of-the-art digital imaging, to give visitors a new perspective of Earth and our galaxy.  Students were able to experience a simulated lunar eclipse, a fast-paced ride through our solar-system and incredible views of the planets and our local night sky.
Each and every one of the student attendees had a chance to ‘see themselves’ as successful college students committed to a positive future. Thanks to all of the SUNY Oswego volunteers (including some former Fowler-grads-turned -Oswego-students) for this engaging, informative and inspiring event!
