Culinary Students Go Above and Beyond!

Many of Ms. Buie’s and Ms. Parvese’s students chose to come to school on Saturday to receive ServSafe Food Handler certification; a nationally recognized certification in culinary safety and sanitation that is equivalent to a college Foods 101 course.
 
Marriott Syracuse Downtown Executive Chef, Thomas Kiernan came in to instruct and test the students for the certification.  He also spoke about the opportunity of participating in internships with him later in the year when the historic Hotel Syracuse reopens as the Marriott Syracuse Downtown.
