Fowler and PSLA High Schools celebrated Black History Month with a variety of performances and recitations by students. Selections included works by Langston Huges, Nikki Giovanni and Marvin Gaye. 10th grader Jasheim Newman read an orginal work titled "The Truth in my Eyes." The audience enjoyed a History of Jazz/Hip Hop presented by special guests, the musical group Sophistafunk. Keynote speaker was Fowler alumnus Mr. Raymond Blackwell.
