Door Decorating Contest Winners!

Every year Van Duyn Elementary holds a Black History Month door decorating contest. Classrooms chose a famous African American and then decorated their door based on that person and their achievements. Every class in the school participated and during African American Read In Day our readers went door to door and judged each door on it's creativity, neatness and theme. We broke down the contest by grade level. We had a Pre-K winner, a K-2 winner, a 3-5 winner and finally a staff door winner. Our Pre-K winner was Ms. Mary's class. Our K-2 winner was Ms. Sierotnick's Class, our 3-5 contest had a tie and the winners were Mrs. William's class and Mrs. McCann's class. The staff door winner was the Main Office! Check out the pictures of our 'Van-tastic' doors!
