Salem Hyde students display the bags they decorated for the Rescue Mission.I want to wish all of you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope that you are able to spend some time over the break with family and friends and enjoy all that you are thankful for.

I am extremely thankful and grateful for all that you do every day for the students and families in the district.  It is because of you and all of your hard work that our students and families are able to be as successful as they are.  I am also very thankful for the generous support and outreach all of you have shown toward my hometown of Puerto Rico.  This is truly a community that cares and comes together to help others.

In this week’s #SCSDLookBack video you will see many other acts of kindness and generosity that you helped make happen as well as wonderful Thanksgiving celebrations.  Students and staff made sandwiches and cookies for the less fortunate at the Rescue Mission and Samaritan Center while celebrations took place at McKinley Brighton and Lincoln just to name a few.

Thank you for all that you do and Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,
Jaime
