Summer Programming has Arrived!

This summer, when you register your child for Summer Programming at any elementary, PK-8 or middle school site, they will have access to full-day programming. Mornings include the opportunity to build math and reading skills and participate in physical fitness; afternoons have a variety of exciting enrichment activities. At high schools, students can engage in credit recovery (only in-person options will be offered).

Summer Enrichment Opportunities: Summer Programming Book

Enrichment Descriptions

Bea González Fellows Program
Students participating in this program will engage in enrichment programming related to financial literacy, work readiness skills, mental health/social emotional behavior, self-care and health/wellness and career exploration. There is also a community service component which could include office work, grounds keeping and more. This is all a part of their enrichment experience and giving back to their school community.
**Students must complete at least 75% of the 6-week program to receive the stipend. Hours are TBD based upon the school and program.
Summer Programming Stipend  |  Students currently enrolled in 6th-8th Grades: $350**     Students currently enrolled in 9th-12th Grades: $550**

Building Men
The Building Men Summer Institute engages boys in the following areas: academics, character building, healthy masculinity, physical training, sports, and leadership. We provide young men opportunities to explore becoming a complete athlete, physically, mentally, socially, and in spirit.

For 6th – 8th Grade Boys, July 5 - August 10 | Monday thru Thursday.

Esports (Space is Limited)
Level up your gaming skills and develop your mental and physical health and wellness while learning about the technology, software, management, event planning, and production of an Esports event while training on an esports team. 
Learn to critically review your peers and professionals Esport games by participating in video reviews. 
Limited to 40 students each session.

Summer Site: The MOST, Elite Gaming Arena

Mindfully U Math
Join us for a 6-week math camp that combines research-based strategies and brain-based mindfulness techniques to create an environment of creativity, empowerment, confidence and perseverance in math focused problem solving. This camp increases self-efficacy and helps to develop a growth mindset in students.

SCSD NSBE Summer Camp
During this week, students will gain experience in college readiness and professionalism. They will be able to tour the SU campus. Students will have the opportunity to be a part of a variety of STEM activities including robotics, environmental research, and various math skills.

SCSD Summer Arts
Enjoy art enrichment in a small group setting! Classes available in photography, visual art, dance, theatre, digital media and design, and world drumming.  All students, regardless of previous experience, are welcome!

SCSD Summer Marching Band
Students will rehearse in a “Band Camp” setting to practice and memorize music to perform at sporting events, parades and community engagement initiatives.

Written Out Loud - Storytelling and Writing Camp (Space is limited)
Writers and Storytellers! Join us for a 2-week workshop where you will work in a small group to develop a story and prepare it for publication!
Every Written Out Loud participant graduates as a published co-author, receives a copy of the book they co-authored and a copy is mailed to your school library.
