SCSD Affected by National Data Breach

The District was recently notified that we were a part of a national data breach involving the AIMSweb assessment platform from Pearson.  The District no longer uses AIMSWeb and has not used it since 2014.

The following data that was potentially affected was limited to student first and last name, date of birth and student ID.  Personal student assessment information, grades and social security information was not a part of the data breach according to Pearson.

While it is our understanding that there is no evidence that the information described above has been misused, Pearson is offering complimentary credit monitoring from Experian for one year for affected individuals as a precautionary measure. If you are interested in learning more about this option, please call Experian at 866-883-3309.

Families who are directly affected by this incident will receive a letter from the district.

Thank you for your patience and understanding pertaining to this issue. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Shared Accountability at (315) 435-4281 or click here for more information.
