SCSD to Close March 20th
March 15, 2020Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon has announced that all schools in the County, including the Syracuse City School District will be closed at the conclusion of school on Friday, March 20, 2020. Should a positive test for COVID-19 come back before Friday all schools will close on Wednesday, March 18th.
In addition to school closing on March 20th all extra-curricular and non-essential programs have been cancelled effective immediately. This includes, athletics, field trips, concerts and any building permit requests.
We recognize that some of you may be uncomfortable sending your children to school. Please know that we respect your right as parents to choose what is best for your child.
More information will be forthcoming regarding online academic offerings and food service. We do have a page set up with information for Learning at Home and this will change throughout the week.
