Changes to SCSD Meal Distribution to Begin on December 4th

In anticipation of winter weather, the Syracuse City School District's Food and Nutrition Services Department is making changes to our meal service beginning December 4th.

  • Grab and Go will only be offered one day a week - on Wednesdays - from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm throughout the district. Multi-day meal kits will now be distributed to virtual learners who come to pick up food. Registration for meal pick up on Wednesday will be strongly encouraged.
  • On Tuesday and Friday, all in-person learners will be sent home with multi-day meal packs before dismissal.
  • Home Bound and Medically Fragile students will receive a five day meal delivery on Wednesdays only (instead of Monday-Friday daily delivery).

All other meal services will remain unchanged, with middle school and high school students receiving breakfast and lunch during half days. Any elementary and Special Education students who come into school for the whole day will still receive breakfast and hot lunches during learning day.

For more details and information regarding meal pick up sites and more, please visit the Food and Nutrition Services website.
