Hybrid Learning to Resume on Monday, December 7th
Published on 12/3/20
Syracuse City School District students will continue to learn remotely for the remainder of the week of November 30th, but in person (hybrid) learning will restart on Monday, December 7th for hybrid students in PODS A, C and 1.
All SCSD schools, with the exception of Roberts and Corcoran, are in the designated Orange Zone and require testing of staff and students in order to return to in person learning.
The Governor has amended the original Orange Zone guidance and now is requiring that just 20% of in person staff and students must be tested at every school every month. We began testing this week and the testing schedule is available here. To register for the testing, please use this link through the Onondaga County Health Department (you must register by 4:00 pm on the day before you want to be tested). You can test at any school offering testing; students and staff are not limited to their home school for testing.
Please be reminded that beginning on December 7th, there will be changes in SCSD meal distribution. Rather than daily grab and go meal service, students will be provided with multi-day meal kits. For more information, please click here to visit our Food and Nutrition Services website.
Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we continue working through COVID-19 and all the changes that it has brought us.
