District Safety Plan Public Hearing to Be Held on August 25th

The Syracuse City School District Board of Education will hold a Public Hearing regarding the proposed District Safety Plan on August 25, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. in the District Board Room, 725 Harrison Street, Syracuse, New York, with the Work Session to immediately follow.
 
The proposed District Safety Plan will be presented at the August 23, 2021 Work Session.  The Public Hearing is an opportunity for all interested parties to provide comments and questions regarding the District’s Safety Plan.  The Plan document will be available on the District’s website beginning August 24, 2021, and the public comment period will be open for 30 days.
 
The public is invited to attend the Public Hearing. Those who wish to address the Board of Education regarding the District Safety Plan should make this known to the District Clerk to the Board of Education before the Hearing begins by filling out the appropriate card, available near the entrance door to the Board Room. Speakers are asked to limit their comments to no more than three minutes. The only permitted topic is the District Safety Plan.  Face masks are required for entry to all District buildings, including Central Offices, and must be properly worn while in the buildings regardless of your vaccination status. 
 
The public is also invited to communicate comments in writing by addressing them to the Board of Education at 1025 Erie Boulevard West, Syracuse, NY 13204 or email BoardofEducation@scsd.us
