Tell us a little about yourself and your background.
I have worked in the Syracuse City School District for 23 years, in elementary, middle and high schools as well as in alternative settings. My work in the field of education began as a Teacher Assistant at Fowler High School; then I become an elementary teacher, and later an administrator. I attended Onondaga Community College, SUNY Cortland and Syracuse University. Recreationally, I enjoy connecting with the community at large by attending and participating in community wide events. I am bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English.
What is your favorite thing about Syracuse?
I enjoy Syracuse's outdoor events and community wide celebrations.
What is your favorite thing about being a school administrator?
What I like the most about being an administrator is being able to impact the community at large in a positive way. I have always strived to provide the best educational environment for all students, staff, and stakeholders.
What is your greatest hope for your school?
I look forward to extending my work within the district by purposefully engaging with all students, families, and staff at Oasis Academy.
What are you most looking forward to about the 2021-22 school year?
I am looking to having an exciting and hopefully normal school year in 2021-22! We plan to have community events and we look forward to seeing students and families in person.
