College & Career Corner | Week of 11/10
Dear Parents and Guardians,With so much happening in the world, we want to take a moment to celebrate our students for showing up each day and persevering. Your support means everything.
We also extend our gratitude to all veterans, past and present, for your service and sacrifice.
This newsletter highlights recent activities, upcoming events, and reminders to support students’ success and planning for life after graduation.
Counseling Center Highlights
- 12/3: We are scheduled to attend the OCM BOCES Trade Fair. Students interested in participating should stop by room 100 to pick up a permission slip (space is limited to 20 students).
- This week, 10th grade classes had presentations from the college and career counselors. Please ask your students for more details.
Important
- 12th graders should be actively working on their college essays. They can schedule a session with their counselor or visit Room 100 for support.
- OnPoint for College is available to 11th and 12th graders every Wednesday from 9 am–1 pm in Room 100.
- A scholarship database for seniors is available through the Remind app, review and explore potential opportunities!
- 12th graders, should be completing their senior checklist, please check with your student to see where they are on the checklist.
- 12th graders please fill out your senior survey. It helps us know which colleges, trade programs, and speakers you’re interested in.

Upcoming Events
- 11/10: We will be hosting an Ultrasound Clinic for interested students. Please sign up!

Reminder
- Stay updated on field trips, job opportunities (some for students as young as 14), workshops, and more. Join Remind to receive notifications.
- OnPoint for College will be here EVERY WEDNESDAY from 9 am–1 pm in Room 100 (11th & 12th grade).
- 12th graders should be working on their Common App and SchooLinks. For help, stop by Room 100 or speak with a counselor.
