The Syracuse City School District is now accepting community agency proposals for a funding opportunity aimed at increasing the availability of quality prekindergarten programs to district students.
New York State Law provides funding for prekindergarten grants that establish new full-day prekindergarten programs, convert existing half-day programs to full-day programs, or create new half-day programs for three and four year old students in low wealth school districts.
Community agencies in the Syracuse City School District who provide prekindergarten services to three and four year olds are encouraged to submit a proposal to be included with the district’s consolidated application. For more details, please visit the SCSD Early Childhood Education website by accessing Proposals must be submitted by August 5, 2015.
