P-Tech Freshmen Meet With Mentors

This week, 9th grade P-Tech students at ITC met with participating mentors from local businesses in order to receive feedback on a research project in which students are currently engaged.
Students started this collaborative research project with a meeting with the mentors then worked with their teammates to develop their digital presentation. The end result was a Prezi (online 21st century version of a slide show) or Powerpoint that outlines the history, goals, products, careers, etc. of the businesses participating in the mentoring program. Students were able to take a hands-on approach to learning about the companies that will be providing P-Tech students with future internships and apprenticeships.
This week, students had the opportunity to sit down and receive feedback from the companies that the groups (2-3 students) are researching. Mentors filled out a feedback sheet, students took notes, and many questions were answered! A big thank you to participating companies and volunteers:
