The New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities has recognized the Syracuse City School District with its "Works For Me" award for our partnership with Onondaga Community College. Our campus-based partnership with OCC helps successfully transition youth with developmental disabilities from high school into employment, and this program was honored with the Youth Transition Award for 2015.

"We are pleased to receive this honor, but we are even more proud that this program is successfully helping our students with developmental disabilities graduate from high school with practical work experience and the connections they need to become active and involved employees," Superintendent Contreras said.
