Franklin Goals for 2018-2019
                             
  • Maintain 95% attendance by:
    • providing individual and class incentives
    • contacting parents of high absentees via phone, letter or home visit by a teacher or support staff 
    • discussing students at attendance team meetings with 85% or lower attendance
    • placing an emphasis on PK – 2 students
    • utilizing attendance liaison, social workers, support staff, nationality workers and outside organizations to support families
  • All K-2 students will be benchmark readers by:
    • continuing CKLA best practices
    • analyzing STAR, ANet, and CKLA results to drive instruction and interventions
    • creating action plans and next steps for small group instruction
    • implementing ENL strategies into the design and delivery of instruction in all classrooms
  • All students will reach their target growth on their STAR assessments by:
    • providing AIS for students who score at the intensive level on either local or state assessments
    • implementing Personalized Learning as a Tier 1 intervention in 100% of ELA , math, and content classes
    • utilizing a Data Driven Instruction model to analyze STAR, ANet, Running Record, and CKLA results for progress monitoring, interventions, and re-teaching of NYS standards
    • creating action plans and next steps for small group instruction
    • providing content specific depth with departmentalization in grades 2-5
    • utilizing school wide instructional strategies such as  DINs, Summaries, and  RAPPER  to increase student achievement and higher order thinking
    • implementing ENL strategies into the design and delivery of instruction in all classrooms
 
  • Support teachers on a professional level to improve instruction for the outcome of student success by:
    • providing job embedded professional development
    • utilizing the administration, instructional coach, and the MCLs to support and provide feedback to 100% of the teachers
    • leading teachers through the Data Driven Instruction model
    • departmentalizing grades 2-5 allowing teachers to be experts in ELA, Math or Content
 
  • Support the social, emotional and physical health of students by:
    • implementing the Good Behavior Game (PAX) with fidelity in 100% of the classrooms
    • utilizing Restorative Practices in 100% of classrooms
    • continuing the use of developmentally appropriate interventions
    • increasing the percentage of students participating in the SBHC

As a teacher at Franklin Elementary School, I will:


Maintain 95% attendance by:
  • providing individual and class incentives aligned with the PSP
  • contacting parents of high absentees via phone calls, letter, or home visit
  • referring students to SIT with 85% or lower attendance and discuss at team meetings
  • utilizing social workers, support staff, nationality workers, and outside organizations to support families
All of my students are working toward becoming benchmark readers by:
  • analyzing STAR, ANet, Running Record, and CKLA results to drive instruction and interventions
  • creating action plans and next steps for small group instruction
  • implementing ENL strategies into the design and delivery of instruction
  • setting and striving toward personalized learning goals based on STAR assessment
  • sharing data with families to facilitate academic discussions in the home
Increase the percentage of students reaching their target growth on STAR assessments by:
  • providing AIS for students who score at the intensive level on either local or state assessments
  • implementing Personalized Learning as a Tier 1 intervention in my classroom
  • utilizing a Data Driven Instruction model to analyze STAR, ANet, Running Record, and CKLA results for progress monitoring, interventions, and re-teaching NYS standards

  • utilizing school wide instructional strategies (DIN, Summaries, and RAPPER) to increase student achievement in higher level thinking
  • collaborating with instructional leaders and co-teachers to meet the needs of all students
