Dear Syracuse City School District Families and Staff,
We were informed today by the Onondaga County Health Department that we have six students and three staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19.  Three of the students are virtual students and have not been in school, two students are from Salem Hyde who were last in school on November 6th and November 11th and there is one student from Meachem who was last in school on November 16th.

There are two staff members from Van Duyn, both of them were last in school November 6th and one from Promising Futures Leadership Academy who was last in school November 10th.

The Onondaga County Health Department will be in touch with those, both staff members and students, who they believe may have been exposed to the individuals testing positive.  Please remember to wear your mask, stay socially distanced and wash your hands.

Thank you,

Jaime Alicea
Superintendent of Schools
