Orange Zone COVID-19 School Testing

All Syracuse City School District Schools, except for Roberts PK-8 and Corcoran High School, are in the New York State Orange Zone. All students and staff scheduled for in person learning must be tested in order to return to school.

Test Registration

Everyone must pre-register for testing by following this link to the Onondaga County Health Department.  If you have already registered, you do not need to register again. Students can be tested at any of our schools throughout the week (see schedule below). If you have tested positive in the last 90 days, you do not need to be re-tested this week.

The test being used is called BinaxNOW, and is a nasal swab that produces results in approximately 15 minutes (click here for details).
