Greetings Meachem Families,

There has been lots of learning going on at Meachem!  1st graders are learning about the different systems in the human body, 3rd graders are working on close reads, and 4th graders have just finished up ‘Because of Winn Dixie.’

At the close of the 1st marking period students with perfect attendance and no office referrals were invited to the VIP Dance Party.  It was so nice to see students enjoying themselves, dancing to music, and laughing with their friends.  Students were excited to win prizes and see their parents win prizes too.  Thank you to all the families that came to see the fun.

Meachem will be closed for Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 7th and for the afternoon on November 14th.  Please contact your child’s teacher if you cannot make your assigned conference and reschedule to a time that is more convenient to you. While you are in the building please stop by the Families as Reading Partners table.  Resources will be available to families as well as this month activity and reading contract.  We are asking that families and students agree to read for 15 minutes with each other, 5 days a week!

Please make an effort to get your child to school on time each day and pick up at dismissal at 2:50.  Every Student, Every Day.
