Lincoln Teacher Receives Space Academy Flight Suit, Scholarship

Lincoln Middle School Science teacher Kathleen Boyce recently received the opportunity of a lifetime: a scholarship to attend the Honeywell Educators @ Space Academy program at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama!
 
The program is designed for middle school math and science teachers to help provide them with unique and innovative teaching techniques that correlate with U.S. national science and math standards. At the Space Academy, Ms. Boyce had the opportunity to participate in astronaut training exercises including a high-performance jet simulation, space missions, survival training and more.
 
In celebration of her acceptance into the program, Ms. Boyce was presented with a Space Academy flight suit and was honored by State Senator John DeFrancisco, Honeywell Syracuse Director John McAuliffe and Lincoln Principal Rebecca Groat. Congratulations, Ms. Boyce!
