Summer Programs at SCSD to Begin Soon, Still Time to Register Your Child

Summer programs for all Syracuse City School District children are set to begin in the first week of July. There is still time to register your child for one of these age appropriate summer programs with the Syracuse City Schools.

Summer programs are a great opportunity to keep children engaged in learning over the summer or catch up on lost credits and time. Learning loss over the summer can accumulate to three months of learning during the school year. The wide array of summer programs offered by the Syracuse City School District keeps kids focused, learning, and productive during the summer all while preventing summer learning loss.

The high school summer program begins on July 6th and runs until August 13th. All Syracuse City School District High Schools will be participating in the program. High school summer programs offered also includes the Twilight program, which affords students the opportunity to make up lost credit, and a Regents Prep program, which will help prepare for the regents examinations in August.  Contact your high school counseling office to register today and login at  for more information about these programs.

The prekindergarten program begins on July 6th and runs until august 14th. The elementary and middle school programs both begin on July 1st and run until July 31st. For more information about these programs see the information below.

To register for any of these programs please contact the appropriate school site and fill out the application.
