Can you hear me?

What is it really like to be hard of hearing? ASL students at PSLA conducted an action research project for their American Sign Language class. Students experienced what it is like to be “hard of hearing” for a day by wearing earplugs throughout the school day. Teachers were asked to continue their normal routines/teaching for the students and not speak louder, move their seat, etc. unless they asked for an accommodation. The project is intended to deepen students understanding of Deaf life.
