In early March some lucky Lincoln Middle School Scholars were given the opportunity to visit the Air Force base and get some hands on experience learning about cryptology, surveillance and radar detection. They spent the day hearing from those who specialize in keeping us safe, and got to see the tools they use to accomplish that task. In addition to getting a tour and checking out some really interesting projects that they have going on, Scholars also got to see a presentation about how the government and military reacted to the attacks of 9/11 as they were happening. Scholars then got to walk through the command center and ask questions about how the different government entities work together to keep our skies safe. The Scholars who attended all learned a lot while having a great time!
