Charter School Public Hearing Scheduled

The Syracuse City School District will hold a public hearing based on the request of the Central New York Institute of Academics and Performance Charter School to open a new Charter School in the City of Syracuse.  The proposed school will open with a 9th grade class of 50 students and grow to grades 9-12 in five years with an expected enrollment of 200 students.  
The public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, October 3rd from 5-6 pm in the Board Room at the District’s central offices (725 Harrison St.).  The hearing is open to the public and is an opportunity to solicit comments from the community regarding the application.
